BIO 201 Labs

Important information about registration
When registering for BIO 201, be aware that there are two types of labs: ‘Traditional’ and 'Hybrid.' Traditional labs have 'T' at the end of the section number and the hybrid labs have 'H.' (e.g. section A01T or A13H, respectively). All labs meet weekly, but ‘T’ labs involve traditional “wet lab” techniques, while ‘H’ labs involve a combination of computer-based and traditional techniques.

Which type you should register for depends on your major or intended major as follows:

Any student under the ‘H’ lab designation who wishes to be considered for a 'T' lab must register for an 'H' lab and file a petition with the Biological Sciences Department (downloadable from the link at left). Petitions will be considered based on need and the order in which they are received. If seats in 'T' labs are available, students will be registered by the Biology Department into a lab that fits their schedule.
